Admissions Process:

Ben Porat Yosef is committed to determining the best “student-school” match from among our applicants. In order to accomplish this, we thoroughly review each child’s profile as presented in the application and as reviewed with the previous school. By getting to know families through the application process, we will gain a better understanding of the individual child so that we may ensure the greatest potential for a “win-win” placement.

Steps in the Process:
  1. We invite prospective parents to attend our Open House, which will be held on Tuesday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the school. Parents will be able to acquaint themselves with all that Ben Porat Yosef has to offer, meet with our administration and faculty, and meet with and hear from some of our students.
  2. Scheduled visits and guided tours will begin in November. To schedule a tour, please contact Sharona Grossberg, our Director of Admissions and Public Relations, at or 201-845-5007 ext. 16. During these visits, parents will have the opportunity to see our classrooms in action and explore our school. We actively encourage school visits to gain a full appreciation for the atmosphere and the unique and special warmth of Ben Porat Yosef.
  3. Applications are due by Wednesday, December 18. Please click here for the schedule of fees  Completed applications will be reviewed as part of the total pool if received by the deadline. Please note that applications are not reviewed on a “first come, first served” basis.
  4. Notification of acceptance will be sent out by January 15. For additional information and answers to any other questions, please contact Sharona Grossberg, Director of Admissions and Public Relations, at or 201-845-5007 ext. 16.
