Learning Center

Ben Porat Yosef's fully-staffed Learning Center offers support and enrichment to students in grades K-8. Our Learning Center staff work with students in small groups and individually to ensure that every student meets with success and is challenged according to their unique learning abilities. Staff support students in reading, writing, math and Ivrit and all of our elementary school Learning Center teachers have advanced degrees and are trained in Orton-Gillingham, multi sensory reading.
Our Learning Center teachers are fully integrated into the teaching teams on each grade level which allows them to provide both push-in and pull-out support and enrichment across the curriculum as well as plan and collaborate with the classroom teachers, and modify work as needed. The unique structure of our Learning Center, and the staffing considerations, allow for flexibility and an individualized approach to who receives support, when that support takes place, and what that support looks like. The goal of our Learning Center is to meet students where they are and to help them grow as successful, challenged, and motivated learners.
In addition, BPY students can receive additional support services from Bergen County Special Services including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy in our state of the art Oma's OT Gym, special education instruction, social skills, English as a Second Language, and behavioral support. The Learning Center is overseen by Adina Rudin, our Director of Student Services.
