Ben Porat Yosef’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is the gateway for parents, faculty and staff to unite as one family that revolves around our children. PTO members complement the work of our educators to enhance our students’ overall educational experience. Funds raised by the PTO go towards the purchase of items or renovations that help enhance the school’s materials or facilities, such as the school auditorium or playground area, and towards the sponsorship of many co-curricular programs, events activities. By engaging entire families in its chesed projects throughout the year, the PTO helps bolster BPY’s key values and offers families a special way to get involved.
Through these chesed projects and other PTO-sponsored events for children and parents, our families develop friendships that span different grades and hometowns. We actively encourage all of our parents to get involved in some way. We are always seeking volunteers! Some of the projects we create and coordinate include: new family buddies, parent nights out, health and wellness events, our annual pre-Thanksgiving bake sale, Chanukah gifts for our faculty and staff, our annual Early Childhood havdallah pajama party, our annual family Purim megillah reading and chagiga, and our end-of-year teacher appreciation dinner.

The PTO also runs our BPY spirit store, which offers a wide range of apparel, accessories and swag emblazoned with the BPY name and logo so our students and families can wear their BPY pride with style and panache.
